tool for faultless quality control.
This detector is, in addition to other ver-
sions, also available as a stand alone de-
vice.
A unique measuring principle and com-
plex optics solution ensure immunity to
stray and intense light whilst providing
the highest detection accuracy and iden-
tification of lumps and neckdowns in the
micrometer range.
n
For continuous quality control, lump &
neckdown detectors are as important as
diameter gauges and spark testers.
The line of KW 13TRIO and KW 33TRIO
detectors capture with the highest accu-
racy, reliability and velocity even the
smallest lumps and neck downs in wires,
conductors, optical fibres, cables, tubes
and hoses.
Thanks to the separate operating and
display unit BAE 2 KW, the KW 13TRIO
and KW 33TRIO can be fully operated
and configured at the device. This unit
features an illuminated graphic module
to display values and messages, red, yel-
low and green tolerance indicators for
signalling operating states, a keyboard
with function keys and a numeric keypad
for manual instrument setting. The BAE
2 KW can be fixed at the operator sta-
tion by means of the included wall
mounting bracket (swivelling) or on the
table.
Thanks to its very compact design, the
KW 13TRIO and KW 33TRIO fault detec-
tors can easily be integrated in any extru-
sion line or rewinding process. The mea-
suring field is dimensioned in such a way
that during the start-up, even extremely
big lumps pass smoothly through. Its
open design enables quick and easy
threading of the product without stopp-
ing production.

full digital signal processing, makes this

scraps mainly consist of baled blown
films coming from postconsumer recy-
cled packaging. In order to increase the
flexibility of the plant, a group of convey-
or belts enables the two shredders to
feed alternately two buffers on the lines.
The decantation phase permits to sepa-
rate the heavy objects and contaminants
from the film whilst a pre-washing action
removes other pollutants and dirt. The
second high friction action is made dur-

two tenders issued by European leading
companies both involved in the waste ma-
nagement field. Each supply includes one
twin plant suitable for the reclaiming and
regeneration of thermoplastic polyolefin
scraps to be transformed into granules.
The water-saving concept of the AMUT
patented technologies are well known all
around the world because of the treated
water that can be re-used thanks to spe-
cial recirculation circuits. For the first pro-
ject, the two lines will process, working
in parallel, LDPE scraps with a total out-

The flakes are separated from water and
conveyed to the centrifuge machine for
the drying phase. A hot-air drier reduces
the humidity value of the flakes and
makes the material suitable for the ex-
trusion processes.
For the other project, AMUT will supply
