CHINAPLAS 2026 opened on April 21 with a record-breaking first day, confirming the strong momentum of this year’s exhibition. A total of 107,792 visitors attended on the opening day, making it the highest first-day visitor number in the history of CHINAPLAS.
From the very beginning, the exhibition halls were bustling with activity. Visitors explored 17 theme zones and 8 pavilions, while many followed the show’s five popular thematic routes to navigate the wide range of exhibits and technologies on display. More than 5,000 exhibitors from around the world presented their latest developments in materials, smart manufacturing, and high-end technologies, creating a dynamic and energetic atmosphere across the venue.
The opening day was marked by strong international participation and active business exchange. The atmosphere throughout the fairground was highly energetic, with excellent networking opportunities involving international exhibitors and global visitors. Attendees not only visited the exhibition stands, but also actively took part in the show’s concurrent events and interactive activities.

Among the highlights of the first day were the lively Tech Talk sessions, which focused on green and low-carbon solutions as well as new materials. Another major point of interest was Medical Plastics Connect, which attracted significant attention through in-depth discussions on medical-grade materials, regulatory compliance, and the green transition in healthcare.
Visitors also showed strong interest in the Product Innovation Gallery, where more than 200 exhibits demonstrated the manufacturing technologies behind real products and helped facilitate direct connections between visitors and suppliers.
Following the strong start on April 21, the exhibition continues on April 22 with an expanded program of concurrent events offering deeper insights and practical solutions. Key events include the Additives Seminar: Enhancing Sustainability and the Values of Plastics, where global additive experts will present solutions, case studies, and technologies supporting ESG goals, product safety, cost management, and regulatory compliance. Another important event is The Power of Plastics Forum, featuring discussions on breakthrough recycling technologies, smart processing of recyclates, and AI-driven digital solutions such as digital twins and product passports to promote the circular economy. Also on the agenda is InnoAccelerate, an exhibition of university innovation achievements aimed at connecting enterprises with R&D projects for the commercialization of new technologies and materials.
With such strong momentum from Day 1, CHINAPLAS 2026 is set to continue as a key platform for innovation, networking, and practical industry solutions in the plastics and rubber sectors.
