Measuring devices for automotive and data cable production lines: CENTERVIEW PRO, LASER PRO, and LM SMART
Visitors to Wireshow will experience the CENTERVIEW PRO, a cutting-edge system for measuring eccentricity, diameter, and ovality of cables in real time. With up to 5,000 ultra-precise readings per second per axis and an exposure time shorter than 1 microsecond, CENTERVIEW PRO offers highest accuracy, even at high production speeds and under vibration conditions. The system is available in two models for product dimensions from 0.1 to 25 mm – in particular suitable for automotive and data cable manufacturing.
The LASER PRO will also being showcased in China – the next generation of laser-based diameter measurement. Building on the globally proven SIKORA LASER Series, LASER PRO delivers 500,000 measuring points per second per axis, ensuring exceptional repeatability and accuracy for product sizes from 0.1 to 51 mm.
Another highlight at the booth is the LM SMART, a non-contact length measuring system with an accuracy of ±0.05 %. Requiring no calibration or reconfiguration once installed, the LM SMART offers long-term stability and zero wear, making it ideal for length measurement in modern cable production.
SIKORA X-ray systems: proven for power cable production
In the area of medium- and high-voltage cable production, SIKORA presents its latest generation of X-ray-based solutions. The X-RAY 8000 ADVANCED is designed for real-time wall thickness, eccentricity, and diameter measurements directly after the crosshead in CV lines, supporting precise centering and optimal material usage.
Also on display is the X-RAY 8700 NXT, which provides final product measurements at the end of the line. Used in combination, the two systems deliver precise shrinkage values for all insulation layers, enhancing process stability and material efficiency.

PURITY SCANNER ADVANCED: Quality begins with raw materials
Particularly relevant for high-voltage and submarine cables is a pure insulation material without contaminants. The PURITY SCANNER ADVANCED uses X-ray and optical inspection to detect and sort out contaminants in plastic pellets before they get into the extrusion process. Even impurities as small as 50 µm, such as metal particles, are reliably removed. The result: pure insulation materials, fewer breakdowns, and lower production costs.
