INTRAVIS GmbH, a global leader in vision inspection systems for the plastic packaging industry, presented its wide variety of inline quality control solutions at this year’s K Show in Düsseldorf. Together with long-standing partners, four systems were demonstrated live – including an innovative medical project that sets new standards. In addition, at INTRAVIS’ own booth, visitors could get a comprehensive overview of current developments in quality inspection and data analysis.

IML Medical at Arburg: Innovation in Medical Technology
A special exhibit was presented in cooperation with Arburg, featuring an IMLWatcher as part of a medical application where an in-mold label is precisely applied to a tube. This application demonstrates how IML technology can unlock new potentials in the medical sector – through RFID integration, improved traceability, and compact, hygienic production environments. The project is the result of a close technology partnership between five IML pioneers: ARBURG, BECK, INTRAVIS, KEBO, and MCC/Verstraete. Each partner contributes its expertise – from injection molding and automation to labeling and vision inspection – to deliver a robust, efficient, and future-ready solution for the medical and pharmaceutical industries.

The system will be on display at the booth of Arburg.

IMLWatcher at Star Automation: Reliable Detection of IML-specific defects
At the booth of Star Automation, INTRAVIS presented another IMLWatcher equipped with five cameras for inspecting side and bottom labels. In addition to detecting typical defects such as artwork shifts or blow-byes, the system also identifies color deviations and print errors. Notable software features include a long-term image memory, reject rate monitoring by cavity and inspection criteria, and an extended statistics on the user interface – enabling data-driven process optimization.

Compact Print Inspection at Tampoprint
One more exhibit was the CapWatcher SC at Tampoprint, which uses a single camera to inspect prints on closures. The system is focused on straightforward applications and demonstrates how compact and budget-friendly solutions can contribute to quality assurance.

Live at Sipa: High-volume Preform Monitoring in Action
A proven highlight was the PreMon, which had already attracted attention at drinktec. This high-volume monitoring solution for preforms is positioned directly after the injection molding process and reliably detects the most important quality deviations such as contaminations, discoloration, or geometric defects. Thanks to its compact design and active conveying, the system is easy to integrate into production lines and provides valuable data for immediate feedback on production quality.

INTRAVIS at its own booth: Compact Solutions and Smart Data Analysis
Visitors to INTRAVIS’ own booth could get detailed information about the full product portfolio. A particular focus lied on the CapWatcher Compact, a compact closure inspection system that combines sorting, feeding, and inspection in one unit. With a footprint of just 2.4 m², it’s ideal for modern production environments with limited space.

INTRAVIS also presented the IntraVisualizer – a software solution for centralized analysis and visualization of quality data. Whether for trend monitoring, deviation analysis, or optimizing maintenance intervals, the IntraVisualizer supports data-driven decisions and boosts efficiency across the entire production process.

Conclusion: Shaping the Future of Inspection Technology at K 2025
With four live systems, strong partners, and a clear focus on data-driven quality assurance, INTRAVIS underscored its role as an innovative partner for the plastics packaging industry. Visitors to K 2025 could gain valuable insights into modern inspection technologies – from preforms and IML to medical applications and digital solutions.
