41 Extrusion International 5/2026 Ultraplex UPZ 100 III ne impact mill for ne grinding The Ultraplex UPZ 100 III ne impact mill is used for particle sizes ranging from 50 µm to 5 mm and for grinding soft to medium-hard materials up to a Mohs hardness of 3. It can be operated as a screenless pin mill or as an impact mill with an impact disc, pendulum beaters or plate beaters. Material is fed centrally via a mill door that swings open wide, facilitating easy tool changes and quick cleaning. Signi cantly expanded range of applications The UPZ 100 III is now an integral part of the multi- processing system and signi cantly expands its range of applications, from standard applications to demanding processes involving toxic or potentially explosive prod- ucts in the food, chemical and pharmaceutical indus- tries, as well as temperature-sensitive raw materials. Its integration enables testing on a laboratory and pilot scale and provides reliable data for subsequent produc- tion design. At the same time, the system remains fu- ture-proof, as additional process modules and mill types can be easily retro tted as required.
