The world’s leading trade fair for the plas- tics and rubber industry will take place in Düsseldorf from 18 to 25 October 2028. The Advisory Board supports Messe Düsseldorf in the strategic and conceptual development of K and ad- vises it on fundamental issues regard- ing the focus, programme structure and communication of the world’s leading trade fair. At the start of the Advisory Board meeting, the committee unanimously elected Dr Axel von Wiedersperg, CEO of Brückner Group SE, as its new Chair- man. He succeeds Ulrich Reifenhäuser, who has led the Advisory Board since 2004 and played a key role in shaping K over the past two decades. Dr Axel von Wiedersperg holds a doctorate in law and has been Man- aging Director of the Brückner Group since 2009. He possesses many years of industry and market knowledge in the plastics and rubber sector, as well as an extensive international network within the industry. He has been a member of the K Exhibitor Advisory Board since 2023 and was therefore already in- volved in the preparations for K 2025 and the strategic development of the trade fair.
