Now, as a commitment to our customers we are offering to extend the standard warranty period from two years to ve to provide the added peace of mind that comes from cost predictability and reduced downtime.” The new scheme, which was launched in May 2026, allows custom- ers to opt for extended cover up to 3 or 5 years from the date of the original machine purchase. It covers defects in materials and workmanship for the most critical components of the corona or plasma treatment system, including the generator and trans- former, the sensors and switches, the machine frame, and the remote sup- port that relates to these items. “In today’s increasingly competitive production environments, it is impor- tant to take all steps possible to ensure reliability and consistent performance. The extended warranty is intended to reduce some of the unpredictable el- ements of everyday production and help limit downtime and material waste,” he added. The extended warranty scheme ap- plies worldwide and is based on the power of each unit on a sliding scale from 1kW up to 40kW, so all systems are covered, irrespective of whether you are printing, laminating, convert- ing, or extruding. If a component fails during the warranty period, Veta- phone will replace it free of charge if onsite assistance is not required. “Vetaphone sees this as another pioneering move in surface treatment and one that con rms its position as market leader. I am anticipating a heavy take-up in response to this of- fer as managers look for new ways to ease pressure on production costs,” he concluded. The labs include the company’s state-of-the-art rheology lab and a fa- cility focused entirely on the extrusion process. Guill’s existing rheology lab mea- sures the ow characteristics of plas - tics and rubber to predict how a cus- tomer’s material will ow through the company’s extrusion dies before production. Tooling geometry is vir- tually optimized, and the project can be viewed in 3D CAD. Machines used include a rotational rheometer, scan- ning calorimeter and thermal conduc- tivity meter. The rotational rheometer quickly generates visco-elastic data for poly- mer melts, precisely capturing poly- mer melt properties. Test tempera- ture ranges between ambient and 300°C. The lab’s scanning calorimeter characterizes the thermal properties of a polymer sample, such as crystal- lization temperature, glass transition temperature and heat capacity of the sample. Knowing these thermal prop- erties permits the simulation of shear heating and hot and cold spots in the ow area. The thermal conductivity meter is used to determine the ther- mal conductivity of the polymer sam- ple across a range of temperatures. This in-house lab provides faster turnaround on test results, reducing delays during the design process and offering better control over the test- ing parameters. The result is a high- quality part delivered on time.
