Hexagon launches new version of metrology software

News 29.04.2026

Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division today announced the release of QUINDOS 2026.1, the latest version of its leading metrology software for special geometries. The new release introduces advanced capabilities for coordinate measuring machine (CMM) monitoring, faster and more intuitive scanning, and enhanced analysis tools — helping manufacturers improve productivity while maintaining the highest standards of precision.

QUINDOS 2026 1 Hero

QUINDOS 2026.1 delivers significant improvements across inspection planning, execution, and evaluation. Key innovations include full support for the latest CMM Check 3.0 standard, enabling reliable and standard-compliant machine monitoring, as well as simplified variable high-speed scanning that reduces programming complexity and accelerates measurement routines.

“QUINDOS 2026.1 is designed to help inspection teams work faster and more efficiently without compromising accuracy,” said Karin Schneider, Product Manager for QUINDOS at Hexagon. “By simplifying complex workflows and introducing more automation, we’re enabling users to focus on what matters most — delivering high-quality measurement results and improving overall productivity.”

The release also enhances CAD-based programming with new support for rotary table workflows, allowing users to generate measurement points for multi-axis setups in a single step. This reduces manual effort and improves consistency in complex measurement scenarios.

In addition, QUINDOS 2026.1 expands its capabilities for gear and drivetrain analysis. New and improved evaluation tools — including Hirth serration runout analysis, detailed gear tooth thickness visualisation, and cylindrical worm tip relief evaluation— provide deeper insights into component quality and performance.

Further updates include improved usability and workflow efficiency across the platform. Guided geometry handling, predefined evaluation strategies, and a range of user interface enhancements make it easier for both new and experienced users to work more productively. Support for E57 point cloud data and improved mesh handling also strengthen integration with modern 3D scanning technologies.

QUINDOS 2026.1 is available now and continues Hexagon’s commitment to delivering powerful, user-friendly metrology solutions for complex inspection tasks across industries such as automotive, aerospace, and energy.
