A new conveyor of an exhibitor

Over the course of just two show days, supply and demand from near and afar will all meet together under one roof. To date, Easyfairs has received numerous exhibitor bookings and expects 15 percent growth over past years' shows, a trend confirmed by the rapid increase in visitor numbers since the organiser began keeping records. With lectures, Guided Tours and an expert congress, visitors searching for new products and solutions will find a wide range of offerings.

Leading exhibition is both a business meeting and an information platform

"With 470 registrations at the beginning of the year, we've already exceeded the number of exhibitors we had last edition," says Daniel Eisele, Group Event Director and Exhibition Manager for organiser Easyfairs Deutschland GmbH. "The entire solids community will be gathered in Dortmund." And Stefan Meyer, Managing Director of REMA TIP TOP West GmbH, adds: "This trade show is simply a must for suppliers of solids technologies – it has become the leading event for the solids industry."

The eighth edition of Solids in Dortmund is both a business meeting for the industries as well as an information and presentation platform for diverse processing steps for bulk goods, whether fine or coarse. Moreover, the trade show on 10 & 11 May 2017 turns Dortmund into a knowledge platform for innovations, trends and the latest technologies. Solution providers and seekers from both near and afar appreciate the compact exhibition, which covers four show halls, for its comprehensive market overview. This is complemented by the extensive show programme featuring 100 lectures taking place on five stages, the Guided Tours and the industry's major conference, the German Fire and Explosion Protection Congress.

Solids with numerous Guided Tours of the exhibition

"The exhibitors on the tour consider it especially valuable to be able to present their latest innovations and solutions to keenly interested visitors," reports Eisele. The Guided Tours are a popular aspect of the show programme, appreciated by both visitors and exhibitors alike. In groups of no more than 20 persons, visitors are taken to targeted stands to see highlights specific to their expressed interest, where exhibitors host them exclusively for up to 10 minutes. Guided Tours will take place on both 10 & 11 May of the eighth edition of Solids in Dortmund. The Guided Tours will focus on dosing, filtering, mixing and conveyance technologies as well as trends in the areas of separating, sorting and crushing technologies.

Event reflects the entire value-add chain

The exhibitors at this show represent the entire process engineering value chain and showcase technologies for the processing, handling, storage and transport of bulk granules, powders and solid goods. The exhibitors will meet trade visitors who come from a broad mix of industries, especially the fields of mechanical and plant engineering, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, as well as minerals, soils and mining, areas such as the food and feed industry, or logistics. The show explores all aspects of the equipment and process technologies required for the production, material acceptance, handling and processing of bulk solids, plus the mechanical or pneumatic conveyance thereof within the plant; likewise when it comes to filling, packaging, storage and transportation of those goods to their final destinations. The international country pavilions, such as the Benelux or Italy pavilion, enjoy particular popularity among the attendees.

Explosion demonstrations a call for protective measures

The visitors can also look forward to exciting explosion demonstrations inthe context of the third German Fire and Explosion Protection Congress, with which the IND EX® e.V. promotes the importance of protective and preventive measures. The congress is aimed at experts from the area of fire and explosion protection: interested persons can partake in lectures given by experts with decades of experience in industrial explosion protection. Inspirational and technical lectures, as well as case studies and the latest laboratory results from research projects, provide information and discussion material around the important issue of fire and explosion prevention.

Recycling-Technik also growing in significance

"The shows Solids and Recycling-Technik in Dortmund have become increasingly important in the minds of both exhibitors and visitors. This can be seen not only quantitatively in the rapidly rising exhibitor and visitor numbers but also in terms of quality, as verified by our surveys," emphasises Daniel Eisele, Group Event Director and Exhibition Manager for show organiser Easyfairs Germany GmbH. Two thirds of the trade visitors are executive-level and technical decision makers who say they are involved in taking investment decisions at their companies.

Additionally, the parallel show Recycling-Technik is considered a substantial business platform for recycling and environmental technology, as well as for urban mining. Exhibitors representing all major areas of recyclable and residual waste technologies will present machinery and technology components for reclamation and environmentally-sound disposal. With 240 providers, the show features 15 percent more exhibitors displaying products and solutions than last year. And, for the first time, industry leaders such as RETO recycling technology, Haas Recycling or HAAKE will also be there. Furthermore, at its community stand, the WFZruhr will give start-ups from the region the opportunity to introduce themselves.
