gwk and Reisner merge under the name technotrans solution GmbH

In line with the group strategy "Future Ready 2025", technotrans SE is preparing the merger of gwk Gesellschaft Wärme Kältetechnik mbH and Reisner Cooling Solutions GmbH. Under the new name technotrans solutions GmbH, a highly efficient competence centre for the plastics, rubber and metal processing industry will be established by the beginning of 2022. With this step, gwk and Reisner will consolidate their extensive technical expertise and 100 years of combined experience. The core competency of the new company is the development and provision of highly efficient cooling and temperature control systems in a temperature range from -80°C to +400°C. The existing equipment and technology portfolio will be maintained and further expanded.
"Our plan is to use the consolidated skills and knowledge as well as the resulting synergies to strengthen the standing of our group of companies on the market and to increase our technological lead in the field of thermal management solutions," explains Michael Finger, spokesman of the board of technotrans SE. The transformation process was initiated at the end of 2020. The current merger of the individual companies, e.g. gwk and Reisner, is the next step.
"Gemeinsam zu noch mehr Power" (together for more power) is the motto of the upcoming combination of gwk and Reisner in line with the group motto "power to transform". Thanks to nearly 100 years of combined experience in the field of thermal management solutions, the two companies form an effective organisational unit with a strong focus on the plastics, rubber and metal industry. Nicolai Küls, managing director of gwk, explains the advantages of the merger: "technotrans solutions will be able to fulfil the highly dynamic requirements of its customers and of the market in general in an even more targeted manner. This also applies to major international projects." The two company sites Meinerzhagen and Holzwickede will remain operational after the merger, as they provide ample room for dynamic growth.
The best of two worlds
The first synergies with a strong benefit for the customers became apparent shortly after the start of the cooperation as the "Team solutions". The companies were able to develop new innovative concepts by merging site-specific solutions and ideas as well as using them for the fulfilment of joint customer orders.
The team is specialised in the development of particularly energy-efficient and sustainable system solutions as well as systems for a very wide and unique temperature range from -80°C to +400°C. The equipment uses climate-friendly refrigerants with a low global warming potential (GWP) and highly-efficient components and control methods. In addition, digital solutions play an important role at technotrans which is why the online start-up of new systems is the new standard. "Our customers will benefit from the expanded problem-solving expertise and faster response times," explains Küls.
First appearance together at the FAKUMA and KUTENO trade fairs
gwk will change its name to technotrans solutions GmbH on 1 October 2021. Reisner will then join technotrans solutions GmbH at the end of the year. As a result, both companies will present their joint team under the new name to a broad audience at the FAKUMA trade fair in Friedrichshafen in October. In September, the technotrans solutions team will attend the KUTENO trade fair, which is a regional trade fair for the plastics industry in Rheda-Wiedenbrück.
