The newly installed line is a 9-layer ALLRollEX® for highest quality stretch film production.
Beyond stretch films, the line stands out for its remarkable flexibility. Thanks to interchangeable extruder screws and advanced processing features, it can produce complex structures including ethylene vinyl alcohol oxygen-barrier films. The equipment also includes a dual-sided corona treatment to support downstream lamination or printing. The line can perform a wide thickness range, from 102 down to 10 microns.

"This new cast film line is a testament to our unwavering commitment to innovation and collaboration. By enhancing our capabilities, we are better positioned to collaborate with our customers and deliver tailored solutions that meet their unique needs," said Mick Hundley, Cincinnati Technology Center site director, in a dedicated news released by LyondellBasell.
While the line’s design and optimization for high-speed stretch-film production are particularly noteworthy, its versatility makes it an ideal platform for the development and testing of complex structures for applications such as food packaging and healthcare.
Eraldo Peccetti, Executive President at COLINES®, also shared his thoughts on this important achievement: “We are proud to support LyondellBasell with this advanced cast film line, which fully reflects our shared commitment to innovation and customer-driven development. Collaborations like this allow us to bring our technology to the service of partners aiming to explore new structures, improve process efficiency, and accelerate time-to-market. We believe that this installation will open significant opportunities for LyondellBasell’s R&D activities and we are proud to contribute to this important step forward.”
