29 Extrusion International 3/2020 Two Internal Promotions announced The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) announced two internal promotions to strengthen its sustainability and materials portfolios. Ashley Hood-Morley is now Senior Director of Sustain- ability and Materials, and Patrick Krieger is the Director of Sus- tainability and Materials. Hood-Morley will oversee all projects and programs related to PLASTICS’ materials, sustainability and recycling initiatives. Kriegerwill be responsible for various sustain- ability initiatives such as Operation Clean Sweep (OCS), New End MarketOpportunities (NEMO),MarineDebris, and theBioplastics division, which he currently oversees. Glenn Anderson, PLASTICS Vice President, Industry Relations and Member Engagement, announced the promotions to all staff members. “Our industry and our members continue to put extra energy into developingmore sustainability initiatives,” Anderson stated. “That is one of the reasons whywe have increased the tal- ent in this area with the promotions of Ashley and Patrick. They both have a strong background in our industry and will energize our initiatives to develop a robust sustainability platform in sup- port of our members and the industry as a whole.” Ashley Hood-Morley has a chemical engineering background, with extensive experience working with material suppliers and sustainability programs. Patrick Krieger has been with PLASTICS for five years. Prior to join- ing he managed regulatory affairs for the Animal Health Institute (AHI), serving primarily to support the Veterinary Biologics Section. Upon completion, the central warehouse will be 8,850 square-meters, equaling a capacity of approximately 12,400 pallets. The new building, a turnkey project of Goldbeck construction company, will have eight truck docks. It will equalize plant traffic – with about one hundred trucks passing through the plant gate every day. In addition, the newwarehouse will eliminate internal logistics, with consolidation into one location.
