27 Extrusion International 1/2020 The leadership team of Baldwin Technology Company Inc. has appointed Joe Kline as its new President and CEO, effec- tive January 17, 2020. Baldwin is a leading global manufacturer of innovative process-automation technology for the printing, packaging and converting industries. Acting CEOKyle Chapman will continue as Baldwin’s Chairman, and devote greater focus to BW Forsyth Partners’ rapidly expanding portfolio. Its regional headquarter inNorthAmerica, Asahi Kasei America, has just opened an office in Novi, Michi- gan, to strengthen its marketing functions in North America, mainly in the automotive field. Mobility is identified as a priority field in Asahi Kasei’s medium- term management initiative „Cs+ for Tomorrow 2021“, pub- lished in May 2019. In North America, the Japanese technol- ogy company manufactures and sells compound resins, battery separators, electronic components and fiber materials for the automotive interior as well as provides technical support to cus- tomers in the automotive industry. Many products have been adopted by major automotive manufacturers in the region.
