18 Extrusion International 5/2026 INDUSTRY NEWS New Leadership Team Expands Technology Portfolio With an expanded technology portfolio, Lukas and Magnus Buske and their teams are positioning Plas- matreat to meet future demands in industrial surface treatment. AURO- RA-Plasma supplements the exist- ing Openair-Plasma and PlasmaPlus portfolios with a low-pressure plasma solution for challenging applications in, for example, the medical technol- ogy and electronics industries. During the Plasmatreat Innovation Days in Birkenfeld, the company showcases its role as a technology and develop- ment partner, demonstrating how it supports customers in addressing surface treatment challenges with its portfolio of solutions. Plasmatreat reects on its key stra - tegic developments from the past few months. With Lukas and Magnus Buske assuming full operational re- sponsibility and the expansion of the technology portfolio to include the new low-pressure plasma solution, AURORA-Plasma, the family-owned company has set a clear course for its future development. Since mid-2025, Lukas and Mag - nus Buske have served as manag- ing directors, each overseeing their respective business divisions. They have both held operational man- agement positions at Plasmatreat for many years and played a key role in shaping the company’s tech- nological and international growth. Over the past few months, com- pany founder Christian Buske has gradually handed over operational responsibility to his sons. This transi- tion symbolizes both continuity and new momentum. Strategic Expansion of the Portfolio One visible result of this develop- ment is the introduction of AURO- RA-Plasma, Plasmatreat’s new low- pressure plasma technology. Since early 2026, it has complemented the existing Openair-Plasma and Plasma- Plus portfolios, expanding the pos- sibilities of industrial surface treat- ment. Consequently, Plasmatreat now offers an even broader range of plasma technologies to meet a wide variety of research, development, and series production requirements. These solutions can be tailored spe- cifically to respective industries and applications. With AURORA-Plasma, Plasma- treat is responding to the growing demands of many industries. The technology operates in a defined vacuum process chamber and is ideal for complex geometries, porous ma- terials, and applications requiring the highest levels of uniformity and full-surface treatment.
