They receive proven Herbold technology, expert-level consulting and dependable service, combined with shorter lead times and attrac- tive investment conditions.” Herbold Meckesheim GmbH www.herbold.com Plastics Recycling Award Europe 2026 A t the Plastics Recycling Show Europe, which took place in Amsterdam from 5 to 6 May 2026, recycling machinery manufacturer EREMAwas honoured with the Plas- tics Recycling Award Europe 2026 in the “Recycling Machinery Innova- tion” category. The award was pre- sented for the VOLEX technology, with which EREMA has signi cantly improved degassing performance in mechanical plastics recycling. The award recognises a techno- logical innovation that responds to the increasing requirements placed on recycled materials for demanding applications. The jury praised the re- markable innovation, which allows to achieve a high level of degassing per- formance: the VOC (volatile organic compounds) content in the recycled pellets is up to 40 per cent lower than that achievedwith INTAREMA®TVE- plus® degassing system and up to 75 per cent lower than that of the input material. At the same time, fogging effects – particularly relevant in injec- tion moulding applications – are sig- ni cantly reduced. “We are delighted to receive this award. With the VOLEX technology, we are addressing concrete market requirements in post-consumer re- cycling that arise from the PPWR and other regulatory frameworks,” says Clemens Kitzberger, Business De- velopment Manager at the EREMA Group, who accepted the award in Amsterdam. “What is crucial is the ability to implement high regranu- late qualities in a scalable and eco- nomically viable way. We see clear added value for our customers in be- ing able to supply more recycled con- tent for higher-value end products.” The award was given to the VO- LEX technology with water strip- ping, which EREMA unveiled at K 2025. Building on the experience gained from market introduction and various material trials, the pro- cess has since been further opti- mised. VOLEX is now also available in a version without water injection, enabling recycling companies to se- lect the most suitable con guration for their speci c requirements.
