Extrusion International 4-2026
30 Extrusion International 4/2026 INTERVIEWS AT CHINAPLAS 2026 An Interview with Anthony Michael Caprioli, CEO of Macchi A nthony Michael Caprioli, CEO of Macchi, discusses their extrusion lines for quality lm and their award- winning sustainable monomaterial lm technology. Macchi participated in Chinaplas 2026 with a sales stand rather than a live demonstration line, focusing on public relations and poten- tial sales. Caprioli notes the growing importance of the Asian market and recognizes the advancements made by Asian competitors. What new solutions do you present at Chinaplas 2026? Anthony Michael Caprioli: We haven't got a running line because it's technically impossible for us to bring a line to the show. So we come in with a stand and a sales representative. We interact with customers on what we sell. We go over portfolios and whatsoever. It's public relations and potential sales. Maybe any highlights, news, big news about your company that you would like to share with our readers? Anthony Michael Caprioli: We won an award. Provided that we took to the show last year in Germany on sus- tainability and the type of lm that the line actually made. Because it's mono- material, so it's 100% recyclable. And that was recognized worldwide. Okay, thanks. What is your general opinion about Trade Fair Chinaplas this year comparing last year? Anthony Michael Caprioli: What I can see, last year the show was held in Shenzhen and this year it's been held in Shanghai. There are more people here as opposed to last year, but it's the same type of feel. We can see the Asian competitors, the Asian competi- tion is making great steps forward, so we need to keep an eye on Asia. So Asian market is important for your company.
