17 Extrusion International 3/2026 Spin-Off: Sensors and Measurement Technology Division to Become an Independent Company Gneuss Kunststofftechnik GmbH is restructuring its sensor and measure- ment technology division. As of May 1, 2026, the operational business is fully transferred to the newly founded Gneuss MC GmbH & Co. KG. This move is a response to the divi- sion's continuous growth in recent years. Rising demand and increasing technological complexity mean that a more independent organisational structure is necessary. The new company will consolidate all activities within the Measurement & Controls division, creating a clear structure for further business devel- opment. All division employees will transfer to the newly established company. Gneuss MC develops and manu- factures sensor solutions for pressure and temperature measurement in ex- trusion processes. These systems are designed for demanding industrial applications and ensure reliable mea- surements even under conditions such as abrasion, corrosion and high tem- peratures. Another focus is on customer-spe- ci c solutions: Thanks to its in-house manufacturing capabilities, Gneuss can produce both standardised and custom-designed sensors. The port- folio is complemented by digital tech- nologies, including fully digital sensors and RFID-based systems for measur- ing and monitoring equipment. “With this spin-off, we are creat- ing the structural conditions to con- sistently further develop our sensor and measurement technologies and strengthen our position as a technol- ogy leader in the long term,” says Dr Stephan Gneuss.
