33 Extrusion International 3/2025 Highlights of Concurrent Events Several concurrent events en - riched the exhibition, drawing at- tention to critical industry topics: • CHINAPLAS X CPRJ Plastics Re- cycling & Circular Economy Confer- ence: Over 800 participants heard from more than 60 speakers about the latest in plastics recycling and sustainability efforts across indus- tries such as packaging, automotive, 3C electronics, and textiles. • Sustainable Plastic Packaging Forum: Leading packaging experts discussed global sustainability strat- egies, sharing insights into challeng- es and opportunities in material in- novation and process efficiency. • Tech Talk: More than 40 new technologies were unveiled, cov- ering a wide range of themes in- cluding 3D printing, automotive lightweighting, green low-carbon solutions, and rubber technologies. • innoGreen Hub: Focused on smart and sustainable manufactur- ing, this area showcased advanced injection molding techniques and cutting-edge materials. • SportsTech Chic + Green: This special event highlighted innova- tions in sportswear and sporting goods, discussing trends in product design and production methods aligned with sustainability goals. • R ecycling Demonstrations: Two fully operational recycling produc- tion lines demonstrated practical applications of plastics recycling in a circular economy, with concepts such as PET food-grade recycling and high-quality PE recycling. • Product Innovation Gallery: Over 200 innovative products were displayed, offering visitors a quick look at the technology behind these advancements. Additional Educational Opportunities Several thematic forums provided valuable insights into the future of the polymer industry. These in - cluded discussions on recyclable medical packaging, cost reduction strategies, and improving efficiency in electronics manufacturing. The Market Insights Hub featured three key forums on topics like RCEP strat- egies, ESG and sustainable supply chains, and new quality product de- velopment trends. In a first for the event, visitors had the opportunity to visit factories, directly engaging with technical executives and learning about inno- vative product manufacturing and ESG practices. Fostering Collaboration and Growth CHINAPLAS also facilitated net - working through initiatives such as Development Day for Campus Elites, which matched top gradu- ates with leading enterprises in the plastics and rubber sectors. Looking ahead, CHINAPLAS 2026 is set to take place from April 21-24, 2026, at the National Exhibition & Convention Center (NECC) in Hongqiao, Shanghai.
