21 Extrusion International 1/2026 Expanded Hungarian Facility Opened Gabriel-Chemie Group announced the successful com- pletion and official opening of ist major expansion project at the Hungarian procuction side. With a total investment of around € 6.5 million, the company is sending a strong signal for growht, sustainability, and the long-term com- petitiveness of the Group. Established in Hugary with ist own subsidiary since 2003, Gabriel-Chemie is further strengthening ist po- sition as a rliable partner in the market with this in- vestment. The modernized production facility ensures long-term success and continued growth fort he en- tire Group while reaffirming the company’s commet - ment to the Nyíregyháza site. The expansion has significantly increased the us - able space across all areas. Production capacities have also been substantially enhanced. The number of production lines can now be increased from 10 to up to 19, enabling an an- nual production volume of up to 2,500 tonnes in the future. Beyond the building expansion, investments were also made in modern, energy-efficient technology, including a new cooling water system, a dust extrac- tion system with fresh air supply, the transition to an air-source heat pump, and the installation of air con- ditioning in all offices. A particular highlight is the planned photovoltaic system with around 250 kWp, which will make a sig- nificant contribution to sustainable energy supply in the future. With this, Gabriel-Chemie Group now operates its third site equipped with a photovoltaic system. “With the completion of this expansion, we have not only significantly increased our capacities but also laid the foundation for the sustainable and future-ori- ented development of Gabriel-Chemie Group,” explains Andreas Berger, Chief Commercial & Operating Officer.
