Milliken: Innovative consumer-oriented packaging concepts

IDDBA 17 attracts over 9,000 attendees and exhibitors


Together with top global players in food production, packaging design and grocery store industries, Milliken & Company highlighted its innovative packaging concepts at IDDBA 2017.

These technologies enable meeting consumer needs for quality, convenience, and food safety. The company's experts developed a new design for customers looking for customizable fresh food solutions. The concept aims at deli/prepared foods store departments, making it possible for shoppers to choose one article as a snack, or several ones to form a meal. The other unique packaging concept boasts a tamper-evident design, providing people with assurance on freshness and safety of food.

Both innovative food packaging options use Milliken NX™ UltraClear PP material. The advanced product is glass-like clear, allows for packaging both hot and cold food and is microwavable. The new concepts follow current trends of home meal replacement. Retailers can now sell more by presenting food in clear, proper packaging.

The customizable and tamper-evident packaging concepts were featured at Show and Sell Marketplace of IDDBA 2017 trade fair in Anaheim, California (USA) on June 4 to 6.
